Among the four major types of insurance, million-dollar medical insurance is both loved and hated.
Some dislike its high deductible, where thousands in medical expenses go unreimbursed. Others appreciate its high coverage, reimbursing tens or even hundreds of thousands in treatment costs.
In essence, million-dollar medical insurance helps individuals leverage minimal costs to access millions in coverage, preventing financial ruin due to illness. Without a ¥10,000 deductible, the system would collapse, making such affordable premiums for million-dollar coverage impossible.
To assist in selecting the right million-dollar medical insurance, we’ve compared top-performing products on the market. Additionally, we’ll share two plans: one for families of three or four (see Figure ⑤), costing just over ¥2,000 per person for full coverage, and another for parents (see Figure ⑥), priced at slightly over ¥1,000 per person.
